The processing of your personal data is intended for the carrying out of all the activities necessary to enable you to use the services of “Bestr” digital platform which is based on the Open Badges, which supports lifelong and lifewide learning and allows the recognition and validation of the skills acquired through formal and non-formal learning pathways.
The legal basis for the processing of the personal data (name and surname; e-mail address; date of birth) that you will provide Cineca with is the fulfilment of your request to participate in the services of the “Bestr” platform, described and available at the following URL: https://bestr.it/terms.
The recipients of the data that you will provide us with are the Data Controller (CINECA Consorzio Interuniversitario) and any Controllers appointed by Cineca, as well as any individual within Cineca authorised to process the data for the purposes mentioned above.
With regard to the dissemination of your personal data, a registered user who has acquired at least one Badge is provided with a public “profile” page containing the acquired Badges. The user may change the visibility of this page by selecting:
The period for which your personal data will be stored is determined according to criteria based on the purposes of the data processing.
Therefore, your personal data will be stored for as long as it is necessary for the carrying out of the purposes indicated in point
3 and, in particular, for the recognition and validation of the skills acquired through formal and non-formal learning pathways.
In the case of non-use of the services, your personal data will be stored for a maximum of 5 years from the date of your last login
as an authenticated user.
The period of 5 years has been set to allow the recognition of the acquired skills for a period of time that is congruent with the
duration of a standard study programme.
At the end of the processing, even in the case you decide to cancel your registration from Bestr platform, your personal data
collected during registration and any additional information provided for the compilation of your skills, will be subjected to
pseudonymisation and stored for statistical purposes.

Cineca is obliged to reply within a month of the request, extendable to up to three months in the case of a particularly complex request.
